Building Services Apprenticeship

We are looking to recruit an Apprentice Building Services Engineer to join our growing business. BES specialise in the design and construction of Cleanrooms, Laboratories and other specialist environments, predominantly for the Pharmaceutical, Life Science and Healthcare markets.

We employ a full range of personnel including Project Managers, Architects, Designers, Engineers, Planners and QS’s.

What is Building

If you take away the lighting, heating and ventilation, the lifts and escalators, electrics, plumbing, power supply and energy management systems, the security and safety systems in a building, all you are left with is a cold, dark, uninhabitable shell.

Everything inside a building which makes it safe and comfortable to be in, comes under: “Building Services”.

Building Services Engineers design, create and

maintain a comfortable, energy efficient and safe environment within commercial and industrial buildings.

A building services

project engineer could work on many different types of buildings including hospitals, airports, shopping centres, office blocks, restaurants, entertainment venues and accommodation. A project engineer can be office based for planning and design work, as well as site based in managing the installation.

Although Building Services Engineers within BES tend to specialise in cleanrooms and laboratories our apprentices are taught a broad range of skills, transferable to all of the above sectors.
