BES has secured through Barr Construction a £4million contract to supply specialist HVAC and electrical services for a new state of the art FVA research facility at the Fisheries Research Services Site in Aberdeen.
The project has a number of individual ventilation systems that will be provide both environmental and pressure controlled zones throughout the building. New condensing boilers and steam raising plant will provide heating & humidification for the building and its process systems. To support this two new Propane Chillers will supply comfort cooling in the offices and write up areas and chilled water for the process systems.
Central to the new facility are three new diagnostic Aquaria. BES will provide all the new required central process water and control systems to ensure the stringent regulatory conditions required.
As this new facility is publically funded there is an absolute need for the building to attain the highest environmental and sustainable construction standards. To achieve this we will be working in conjunction with clients design team and the main contractor to ensure an overall BREEAM rating of excellent for the building and its services.
