The project involved the complete construction, commissioning and validation of a new Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit on the 13th floor of a fully operational hospital tower. BES carried out the full ‘turn-key’ package including demolition, architectural fit out, HVAC and electrical services.
The internal fit out comprised the erection of metal stud walls and ceilings, finished with hygienic paint within the non sterile ISO 8 cleanrooms and fully vinyled within the sterile ISO 7 cleanrooms.
The HVAC systems comprise new sterile and non sterile ventilation systems, fume and hazardous exhaust systems and new MTHW/LTHW plate heat exchanger. Specialist gasses were provided throughout along with new essential and non essential power, lighting, CCTV, fire alarms and intruder/access systems.
A new WFI system was designed, installed and validated, along with new autoclave, dust containment booth and isolators.
The complete HVAC system was fully validated to cGMP requirements, including smoke visualisation and microbiological sampling.
An Environmental System was installed to continually monitor room particles, pressures and temperatures.
