Boulting Environmental Services Ltd  specialise in the design and construction of sophisticated facilities; providing a complete turnkey service to the high technology industries, particularly Pharmaceuticals, Fine Chemicals, Bio Technology, Food, Healthcare and semiconductor industries.

Reporting to the Managing Director, your primary roles and responsibilities are set out below:- 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In essence the Business Development team are responsible for generating the enquiries, working closely with our estimating team to prepare budgets, design proposals, and design and build tenders. Our company benefits enormously from the flexibility, responsiveness and commitment of the staff and our sales effort is very much a team affair.
 
Working constructively with the other members of our Business Development team your prime duties and responsibilities are set out below:-
 
  • Develop awareness and interest in BES across all our key market areas. 
  • Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities for the company in accordance with company policy. 
  • Main targets are end user customers that have the potential to provide regular repeat business.
  • Maintain a sound technical knowledge of complex pharmaceutical, healthcare, fine chemical, biotechnology, food, semiconductor markets to facilitate technical appraisal and scope review with client
  • Recommend sales angles and look for opportunities to provide a unique solution to differentiate ourselves from our competitors and create opportunities to improve our profitability. 
  • Having secured the enquiry, you assist in the preparation of the proposal and take full responsibility for the final submission itself.
  • Attend and provide reports / input into monthly sales meetings.
  • Monitor OJEU and other public sector databases and screen for suitable opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation of pre-qualification submissions.
  • Develop literature and information to support the sales process including input into brochures / profiles and the website.
  • Feedback collection and customer satisfaction review.
  • Operate fully in accordance with the company’s quality system but offer any suggestions to improve the system where appropriate.
  • Assist with marketing and PR including attendance at exhibitions etc, where appropriate.
