We are pleased to announce that Mike Robinson has been promoted to the position of BIM Manager. Mike has been at BES for 10 years and in this time he has improved the company’s BIM strategy, developed our standardised templates and procedures and assisted with enhancing the quality and productivity of our Revit modelling.

In his new role, he will lead the promotion, development and delivery of BIM implementation across the company and on allocated projects, which will include assistance with the document control and managing compliance of Project BIM standards.

Speaking about his new position as BIM Manager, Mike said: “Having played a key role in improving our design processes and working towards BIM compliance over the last few years, I am looking forward to working with colleagues and clients on greater BIM implementation. I also hope to proactively educate our staff to be on the forefront of technology within our industry, ensuring we are continuing to exceed our clients’ expectations.”

The BIM process and models facilitate design collaboration, cost analysis, reducing waste and carbon consumption and promoting truly integrated design and delivery solutions during the design and construction phase of a project - ultimately saving stakeholders time and money. What is more, at BES, we strive to deliver consistent and structured digital asset information, available to the owners for post-occupancy decision-making which can reduce the facility’s operational costs in the future.
