The design and construction of a new Sterile Services Facility. Housed within an existing portal framed building, the facility provides sterilisation services to a number of local hospitals.
To provide a concept layout, and translate this into detailed design and construction, taking account the complex flow of personnel and materials for a large sterilization facility serving multiple NHS Trusts. Incorporation of a large quantity of sophisticated washing and sterilizing equipment within a pressurized, environmentally controlled and validated space.
Working in close collaboration with the end users, our architects provided a concept design that met the Trusts’ process flow requirements in every respect. Our multi-disciplined design team provided a fully coordinated solution, liaising with the Clients’ chosen equipment manufacturer to ensure seamless integration within the fabric of the new facility whilst maintaining air pressure and all required environmental controls.
