New Markets

Since the company was founded in 2002, we have designed and built many cleanrooms and laboratories, particularly for the pharmaceutical, medical devices and biotech markets.
During this time, we have established a strong customer base including blue chip customers such as AstraZeneca, GSK and Smith & Nephew who require sophisticated facilities for the discovery, development and manufacture of drugs.
However, cleanrooms and controlled environments are used in practically every industry including automation, aeronautical, healthcare and semiconductor and these industries are providing further opportunities to utilise our design expertise
and construction experience to full effect.
A cleanroom is any given space where provisions are made to reduce particulate contamination and control other environmental parameters such as temperature humidity and pressure.
We have carried out a number of successful healthcare projects in the past, both in the UK and abroad, including SSD’s and Pharmacies at prestigious hospitals such as Guys and St Thomas in London.
Our expertise has grown in this field and we are currently designing pharmacies, aseptic suites and operating theatres for several hospitals around the UK and also in Qatar.
Our cleanroom and containment expertise is also being used to full affect in the semiconductor market too.
The UK has a rich history in this market, dating back to the 1960’s when the government invested heavily into Plessey and Ferranti. The global semiconductor market is growing again now to meet the rising demand for consumer electronics,
product developments and the advancements in the automotive market.
The UK’s current vision is to become a global leader in developing and commercialising new applications for compound semiconductors and we are delighted to be designing and building a new Innovation Centre for CSA Catapult.
Cleanrooms for microelectronic and semiconductor applications require careful design and attention to detail to prevent contamination.
The Centre is located within the world’s premier CSA cluster in South Wales and will house a design studio, laboratories and test facilities all to help companies to accelerate the development of new products using compound semiconductors.
It is great to work in other industries, which provides a fantastic opportunity for cross fertilisation and helps encourage innovation.
