We are pleased to report that our Milton Keynes team have successfully completed the new Quality Assurance (QA), Sterility testing laboratory and write up space for a pharmaceutical blue chip client in the South East. The project involved remodelling an existing 1960s building, centrally located within a busy manufacturing facility, whilst maintaining ‘business as usual’ operations at all times. Working as principal contractor, we provided a full turnkey service, including architectural fit out, HVAC, LEV, Electrical, BMS, EMS installations and all site operations were carefully controlled by our experienced project and construction management team. The award, which was presented by Women's Engineering Society chief executive officer Elizabeth Donnelly during BESA National Award Ceremony in London, recognises a woman who has made an outstanding contribution to engineering in the built environment and is a fitting role model for women in the building engineering workforce. Works are progressing well on the construction of a new pharmacy and aseptic suite for chemotherapy and clinical trial/emerging therapy at Weston Park Hospital in Sheffield. Following the demolition and strip out works, we have converted the 7th floor areas into a plantroom. This year, to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the hospice, we are taking part in their Corporate Challenge, trying to raise as much money as possible until the end of this month! To support this worthy cause, on Tuesday 1st October BES hiking team conquered the highest mountain in Wales, Snowdon. Taking the Pyg Track route to the summit, they tackled the rocky and wet terrain, wind and dense fog.
